Who are we?
Debbie Milner, Founder and CEO
tel (408) 213-0973
Debbie founded KidsPark in 1988 out of a personal need to find quality, fun, short-term care for her young daughter, Rita, so she could juggle all the things busy moms do everyday. Debbie started KidsPark after a career in information systems with Hewlett Packard and production management in the electronics and toy industries. She is dedicated to answering this special need in the community and currently focuses on strategic issues, marketing and national expansion of KidsPark through franchises. Loving to play herself, Debbie was sure to include a plethora of art, games and toys in KidsPark’s design. Now, over 20 years later, she still finds time to play regularly. Recognition: 2010 Women of Influence from the San Jose Business Journal; 2012 Woman Entrepreneur of the Year from Women's Initiative.
Leslie Gamez, Vice President of Operations
tel (408) 213-0970
Leslie joined KidsPark in 1994 as a part-time teacher . . . but quickly became committed to KidsPark's mission and philosophy. As an essential partner in our growth and development, she now oversees program, operations and training for KidsPark centers across the nation. Leslie has over 25 years experience in the childcare field and a BS in Child and Adolescent Development. She is never far from the kids – you will often find her in the centers leading games, doing art and giving hugs. Leslie is mom to 3 daughters; 4, 11 and 15 and 2 boys, a golden lab named Dodger and Buster, a jack-of-all-trades (mutt).
Lisa Alvarado, Program Manager
tel (408) 982-3393
Lisa has been with KidsPark since 1999. As a teacher and Center Director she always impressed kids, parents and staff with her program creativity and diversity. Now, she develops the program for KidsPark centers across the nation in addition to overseeing the operations at our two San Jose locations. She has a BS in Business Management from San Jose State University. Her 20 years of child development experience includes working with the Girl Scouts and the YMCA. Lisa does not have any children yet; but she is a mom to a furry bundle of joy, a 5 year old Shorkie named Guinness.
